NBC 12 News reports toxic chemicals have been linked to hair products aimed at African-American women. A report from “Black Women for Wellness”, a black women’s health and well-being advocacy and research group, linked overwhelming health concerns to the toxic chemicals in many African-American women’s hair products, including infertility, respiratory disorders, uterine fibroids, and even cancer. According to the 60-page, five-year study, African-American hair products are some of the most toxic on the market.
